I was all excited to open my new iPod case today to find that it came with a free 12-month subscription to Rolling Stone and 35 free music downloads. Sweet! Oh wait...fine print. Shit. Turns out the magazine subscription is legit...unless I forget to cancel it a year from now, in which case it auto-renews. 35 free downloads? Yeah, that offer is open to the general public when you sign up for a free 14-day trial. Maybe I'm not so special. Damn. And here I thought corporate America was having a promotion without strings attached.
