The Beginning of the End

I started my offseason yesterday. It hurt.

My body is not used to doing squats, and it showed. I woke up at 3:15 AM with a wicked cramp in my hamstring.

It's ridiculous how fast I'm going to be next year.

If you train really hard you could possibly be the second fastest guy in the state.

And if I don't I could be the first fattest.

Who won State Match Sprints last year? Oh yeah, that was me.

Where were you? Oh yeah, claiming an uncontested victory in the 3's. Tisk-tisk.

Is this what Timmer means by infighting?

Don't confuse the blog spot readers with facts. All that does is confuse everybody. Also bragging about previous race results is so passe.

So how much do national caliber sprinters like you and franz rep on parallel squats?

Last winter I had squatts of 315 X 24 consecutive reps and 405 x 10 at a body weight of 180 pounds with wraps and belt. I then messed my back up and probably did not go above 225 the rest of the season. My life time personal best squatt was 555 pounds X 2 reps at a body weight of 193.

Deadlifts I just did 415 for a single NO wraps, No straps, No belt and legs less than sholder width at a body weight of 180. Bench press is currently 275x6 with 315 max.

My stongest lift is pullups. I can do 55 consecutive reps and 2 reps true 1 arm pull ups with my left arm.

I still think we need some sort of bench press or pull up and sprint duelathalon contest. Has anyone seen an event like that put on before?
