I Love Stearns County

Where else do you get news stories like this:

"Koetter made a Molotov cocktail and threw it into Skold's house, court records said. But she had made the Molotov cocktail with a tampon for a wick and an aluminum can to hold the gasoline. The can failed to shatter and didn't spread fuel like a true firebomb would."

You can't make this stuff up.

This is almost as good as your haiku collections. Which, by the way, you should be writing more of. We know you don't actually do anything at work.

That's Stearns County syndrome for you... Your uncle could be your third cousin and your nephew at the same time. That explains the molotov story. I'm sure her cousin was in the house and it urned out to be her boyfriend. I've only got 1/2 Stearns County in me through my mother. She always said it was the people in the western part of the county...

That all took place in my beloved Benton County, yer next of kin up nort of ya, not Stearns. Ye’all also missed the best point, it took them three, yes three attempts to burn the place down, first natural gas and candles, failed. Then the aluminum can/tampon molotov cocktail that fer some reason wouldn’t shatter (aluminum can wouldn’t shatter, DUH) and finally just dump the gasoline and light. But first have all yer step kids, half sisters and cousin-wifes or whatever hillbilly relative ya can rustle up carry out all the large valuables so that no one will get suspicious.
