I'm not gonna name names, but I see this as complete bullshit. I used ride with a kid (let's call him Todd) who is on a Juniors team based out of a neighboring state. His team has decided that they want go to Junior Track Nationals. "Todd" has only ridden on the track once. One fucking time. Never raced. And his team got him upgraded to Cat 2 on the track. How the fuck does that work?
We've got an incredibly hard-working group of Juniors out at Blaine who are slogging their way through the ranks just like everyone else. I wonder how they feel about this other team getting a completely free ride to the (almost) top.
What do the 1/2 guys think about having a 16-year-old kid in their race who has NEVER RACED ON THE TRACK BEFORE? Scares the shit outta me. Luckily, no one on this team rides at Blaine.

"With the approval of a USAC licensed track coach, riders who are pro or category 1 on the road may be upgraded to category 2 on the track and riders who are category 2 on the road may be upgraded to category 3 on the track without first having to begin at category 5"
He's a 3 on the road.
