$300 track bars, very nice.
But are they not carbon?

While they are carbon, it's laid up so thick that they're heavier than my beefy aluminum track bars.

I'm still mildly afraid of them, though.

Being a racing purist I only install components that will make me faster.

I am glad I am not so vain as to need carbon bars that weigh more than extremely stiff Deda track aluminum bars.

I am all about go and not the show.

Bling is so PASSE.

Is that why you bought a second custom track frame?

Being a blogging purist, I'm going to have to insist that you stop double-posting your comments.

You're definitely going to brake those. And I mean that in the nicest possible way.

I currently have 3 sets of carbon wheels and a disc. These are tools that make you go faster. Not for show.

I know this is the second time I have double posted. Hell when you are 42 it is a miracle that I can turn one of these damn things on. I still have a typewriter at my desk too.

Jealous? I can not talk my way into buying a set.

Here's an interesting development. I just learned that the bar is actually carbon-wrapped aluminum.

This is probably a good thing in the "catastrophic failure" department.

Franz, Chris Hoy uses them, but Steve Hill doesn't. We all have our goals...
